Plus, you need ludicrously long wheel drives shafts, like 4-5 bearings/pipes and they can get floppy. Asking because I was getting ready to build a bearing/controller car.Īnother note on building gas powered cars: more weight allows you to run over bots and instakill them, but more weight also increases gas use.Īnother note on building gas powered cars: more weight allows you to run over bots and instakill them, but more weight also increases gas use. If so, this would be a disadvantage because normal gas powered bearing dont. If you cant get traction either your vehicle needs scrapped/changed or your engine is gas powered and needs the power turned down(gas power is garbage for powering your drivetrain) Out of curiosity, do the bearing cars get physics kraken attacks? I have a few complex bearing/piston arms for saws and drills that occasionally go nuts. and what you should and shouldnt do in game like this. and how well you understand building games. It is all about how you build you vehicle. ive even tossed 18 fruit crates onto it and it did nothing but make me dodge an xtra tree or so. i have yet to be able to put enough weight on my car to slow it down at all. i have amazing traction, and speed(hauls 4 collectors at all times). powered by 2 lv5 controllers power 5x4 bearings on the back tires. 2 rows of 2 in the front, 2 rows of 2 in back. Your front tires turn into skis once the engine power to your rear tires is too strong It's obvious the tires have very low friction level, as when you leave your vehicle on a slope, it will literally slide sideways down even the smallest hill.Īnd I agree with steering issues as well though these seem to be related to engine power as well. Not so bad if you have a light vehicle but if you try to haul anything heavy, no amount of engine power can overcome the lack of grip. Just to be clear the tire grip level is horrible and it's compouded by the terrain having such incredibly steep grades. If Axolot can't get it perfect maybe some other devs will pick up on the concept and do an even better game in the future. It's a bit of a shame because I feel like the core idea of the game with the survival sandbox is a crazy good combo. Seems we have to just learn to cope with the crappy stuff or find leser workarounds to try and get as much enjoyment out of the game as we can. I just picked the game up with survival release and there are so many things to love, but equally as many frustrating and outright terrible things as there are good. I was wondering about this tire friction issue myself, but this game has been in development for 4 years and the devs seem to be happy with the wonky physics, as barely anything has changed or improved in this regard.
